It seems like they are trying to save CB’s career with a very advanced looking video. It’s working.
Sometimes it’s good to hear mixes of songs where it’s not all about throwing electronic beats that overwhelm the original lyrics. Instead, mixers should make it so that their mixes sound like a track that could have easily contended with the original track.
Take Thoko for example.
His mixes aren’t all about him just trying to show off. Instead, his songs sound almost as good as the originals. Although not of production quality quite yet, his mixes and mashups of Outkast, Michael Jackson and Tupac will blow your mind.

This group’s album “Animal” had a few hits on it that have been played at clubs all across the country. The song “Girls on the Dance Floor” even managed to make it on the charts. The song “Dance like Michael Jackson” has become an internet hit. Catch them at a club or venue near you.
Kid Cudi’s debut album is not your standard hip hop album. It tells the story of a stoner through 5 acts, each act containing about three songs. Although you might be against supporting an artist that Kanye supports, let be known that Kid Cudi is good in his own right. That’s why Kanye is only featured on one song. This album is dark, though, so be prepared. This album, which opens as Cudi’s dreams, quickly turns into him telling us his nightmares.
For a limited time it is available at Amazon for $3.99.
This up and coming rapper’s “Everybody’s Nobody” mixtape is good. The mixtape features many well known guests, including Ne-Yo and Lil’ Wayne. The first two songs, “Everybody’s Nobody” and “Awesome”, have hooks that will have you singing along right away. But don’t be fooled, this album isn’t just hooks. There are metaphors that will blow your mind, not to mention some of the deeper meaning behind some of the rhymes.
Today marks the release of Jay-Z’s final Blueprint album, eight years after the release of the first. While not the best of his albums by any means, Jay-Z will still having you throwing up the roc. He’s still got the rhymes that make you have to play them back, saying, “Did he just say that?”
While many critics will complain that this album is not the same Jay-Z, one must not forget where hip hop is these days. While many rappers are about trying the next party hit, Jay-Z is about something that hits deeper. So, even though it is not as good, be aware that this is still better than most of the stuff that is coming out.
